Classes

Vintage rod is happy to offer classes in rod building, fly tying, and fly casting.

Rod building classes are group sessions with  four builders per class.  Offered on Wednesday nights from 7 - 9 pm, the four week class provides all skill levels of builder the opportunity to complete a rod style of their choice in class.  Tuition and materials are included in the class fee, and rod components can be purchased separately from Vintage Rod prior to first night of class. Those of you that choose to provide your own rod components will have an adjusted tuition.

Fly tying and casting classes are held on a one-on-one basis with the venue and time to be mutually agreed upon. With todays busy schedules tying and casting classes do not need to meet on fixed schedules.  Ken realizes that being flexible is in the best interest of most students.  

All materials and tools are provided for tying classes.  Rod, reel, and line are available for casting class, although it is suggested that you bring your rod and reel/line so that we can determine whether it is balanced and appropriate for the style fishing you will pursue.
